I need some advice. I just started a new forced plan that doesn’t allow me on social media till six PM. Now, from what I know, once you get to the time the plan ends for the day, you can change up the plan if you want to.
Is there a way to protect my plan from my monkey brain and keep that locked? Even after six PM?
What you can do is set up the ‘Stop challenge when inactive’ on the plan protection page. I would recommend choosing ‘Random Characters’ with a length long enough that your monkey brain won’t be tempted to change the settings unless you have a good reason. Personally, I use about 40-60 characters.
Alternatively you can set the ‘Stop challenge when inactive’ to forced but I would not recommend this to most people. If you do choose this option, please ensure you sure you set a plan end date in case you need to make any changes to the plan later.
My suggestion would be to try sticking it out for a full week at minimum before making changes. The first few days are often the hardest as you adjust to new routines. A couple weeks ago, my friend told me about this game he couldn’t stop playing called tunnel rush. Normally I’m not too into PC games, but he made it sound so intense that I had to give it a try.
To keep your plan locked even after six PM, enable the ‘Force Plan’ option in FocusMe’s settings. This prevents any changes until the next day or set time, helping you stay disciplined and on track!

You can organize your plans into layers or enable schedule locking, which adds another layer of protection against changes. FocusMe’s strength lies in its customization, but that also means we sometimes have to protect ourselves from ourselves
