What exactly does the Network Block feature do?

My apologies if I've simply missed this in the documentation somewhere, but I'm curious what happens under the "Network Block" feature in the "Block methods" selection. I've tested it and it seems to do the same thing as "Close tab" as far as I can see. I'm sure there's something else to it, it sounds interesting.

Hello HocusFocus and Cefishing! Glad you guys reached out here - apologies though for the late response as we keep getting tons of comments/messages/questions.

About Network Block, it really means we're blocking websites/URLs on a Network level. Let's say facebook.com is not being blocked on Gmail, messages, etc. using the regular block methods such as Close the Tab, Open New Window, Show Block page, and more. With Network block which is a strengthened block method - any access to Facebook should be surely blocked by FocusMe.

Also, after setting up the Network Block, we need to wait for at least 5 to 10 mins or maybe restart your machine for it to kick in. And yes, it closes the tab as well... just in case for some sites Network Block is not working, we back it up with "Close the tab" block method.

The "Network Block" feature is actually meant to stop access to URLs at the network level. But if that doesn’t work for any reason, FocusMe has a backup—by design, the "Close Tab" option steps in to automatically close the tab. This way, even if the network block doesn’t catch it, access is still restricted to help you stay on track.
