Hi Jon and others,
First of all: this program is really great in blocking, it can even block things no other program can do like specific parts of websites, programs based on processes or screen names using regex, specific folders in windows explorer,... But i do miss flexibility in activating plans based on certain conditions, now you're pretty limited to fixed weekly repeating schedules or self initiated activation. That's why I want to express my support for an integration with Google Calendar too, so it could automatically start focus plans based on certain conditions, which then can be planned out much more flexible using just your own agenda. I already gave that feedback through e-mail to Jon a while ago.
But then I saw this thread, which mentions the idea of integration with IFTTT... This is in fact a fantastic idea, it would be an absolute game-changer! If you as a company could make just 1 IFTTT action which activates a chosen plan, and 1 simple IFTTT trigger which shows if a plan is running, we as users would have really infinite options in automating FocusMe plans. Starting a plan based on Google Calendar, an incoming important mail from your boss, your location, bad weather outside,... Or when a FocusMe plan starts automatically start your favourite deep focus playlist on Spotify, mark your agenda as busy, mute your phone,... You name it, possibilities are endless. No need for you to program all these kind of functions, IFTTT can do this job far better with way less effort.
So please Jon, consider making an IFTTT applet. You'll have the most powerful blocking software on this planet if you were to add this integration. Or maybe, is it already planned?
