Can Overlapping Timer Windows Prioritize the One with the Shortest Remaining Time? - Miguel - 04-30-2025

Hi FocusMe team,

I’m using multiple simultaneous Time Limit plans and wanted to ask if there’s a way to automatically show the Timer Window for the plan with the shortest remaining time (especially when timers overlap).

Context:
I have a few overlapping plans to help manage related apps, where I have a limit for the overall apps, and another one for specific apps of the same group, at the same time.

 Example Basic Scenario:
   - Plan 1: limits App1 & App2 combined to 3 minutes/day
   - Plan 2: limits App1 to 2 minutes/day
   - Plan 3: limits App2 to 2 minutes/day

When using App1, both the "App1 & App2" timer and the App1-specific timer are active and visible.

The Issue:
I’d like to only see the timer with the least remaining time, so I’m not misled by a timer that looks like I still have time left (when another plan is closer to its limit). Currently:
- The top-most Timer Window is just whichever plan activated last.
- I can manually move windows aside, but ideally, in order to save screen space, I’d prefer to see only one timer—the most urgent one.

What I’ve Tried:
- I’ve already enabled the "Selectively Show Timer Windows (e.g. when Time Limit Used or Launch in Progress)" option in settings.
- I couldn't find any other setting that lets me prioritize the shortest timer.

Question:
Is there a built-in way to have only the most restrictive or closest-to-expiring timer shown on top (or visible)?
Or would this be something better suited for a feature request?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Timers can be part of Plans (predefined schedules) or standalone, enforcing focus by blocking apps/websites or limiting usage. They display as pop-up windows or notifications showing remaining time. Crazy Cattle 3D

In many scheduling or task management systems, timeout windows can be prioritized based on the shortest remaining time. This is a form of scheduling algorithm called Shortest Remaining Time First (SRTF), a variation of the Shortest Job First (SJF) algorithm but prioritized by remaining time instead of initial execution time. FocusMe team really listens and brings solutions to approach Timer Window. Valuable information sources bring a lot of suitable technology tool experiences. With shared information updates, it is great to be able to synthesize and research scratch games with valuable data.

From what I’ve seen this isn’t configurable yet, but they have said they’re open to suggestions.
