Pause feature for Android app - LongRule - 03-09-2025 To control bad habits, you need to make it difficult to start them and even harder to continue them. If I set the Plan to Just Block and require entering random characters, I can make it difficult to impulsively open certain apps. However, this method doesn’t make it hard to continue using them once they’re open. On the other hand, if I set the Plan to Time Limit, it becomes harder to keep using the apps, but not necessarily difficult to start them in the first place. That’s why I wish FocusMe’s Android app had a Pause option instead of just Stop for plans. With this feature, I would have to enter an annoying random character sequence before procrastinating impulsively, and after a set time, the app would automatically lock again. I actually made the same request here five months ago, but since nothing has changed, I decided to post it again with different wording. I sincerely hope my request is properly understood this time. Thank you very much for reading all the way through. We couldn't agree more! We'll get this feature added to our list of future improvements! Best Regards, Ryan The FocusMe Support Team |
