How to block Messenger while using Facebook? - selfchallenger - 02-15-2020
How do I block Messenger while using Facebook in Google Chrome in Windows 10? I have been able to block the Messenger Windows App, but since the url and title of the page does not change when you access it in Facebook without clicking on the link entitiled "See All in Messenger," I cannot block it via url or title. I tried RegEx with no success. Perhaps the string I am using is wrong, or FocusMe doesn't see the text where it says "My Messages" at the top or "Type a message..." in the message box.
Any ideas? Has anyone dealt with the same or similar issue?

Yeah it would be hard to block unless you click See All Messenger. This is a good idea to be implemented in the future. If you can, please share it here in FocusMe Roadmap.

Great idea, except I only see the options to view them, not create a new one. Perhaps it is because I cannot log into that site since I joined a month before December 2017. It would be so much easier for members and staff that they just create accounts as well for those that joined prior.

I needed something really powerful to completely prevent me from constantly relapsing. I started using ScreenTime on my iPhone and gave my friend the password to adjust the settings for it - this meant I could no longer reinstall distracting apps like Snapchat or Messenger - and could no longer uninstall my 3rd-party website blocking software whenever I wanted to.
