We have just signed up for a trial.
I'm planning to use the software mainly for parental control.
We are a family of 4 and each person has a separate Windows user account/login.
I ran the plan successfully on my Windows User account, but I can't seem to get it to run on my child's user account too.
I would rather not have to maintain 3-4 different plans - is there any way to set up a "master" control to cover all users?
Hi Jon. I would like to request the ability to block websites/apps based on the location (within a certain radius of an address) or network (e.g. connected to my home WiFi). This will help me tremendously and I believe others too once you introduce the feature. When I am home I am very unproductive if I have access to the Internet. When I go to uni or work, the environment is enough to get me to be productive. Therefore I would like to block the Internet when I am at home, have it blocked all day, and when I go out I can access it. This is one big feature for me. I believe no one else does this, but like many other things focusme can be the first and best at it. Please let me know if you can integrate this soon. Thank you for all your efforts!
Hello, i'd like to request a resetting of my account if possible. I set a time limit on a steam game on my account, and for some reason it is blocking other steam games and making the timer run down when i play those as well.
If i could get my focusme account reset, that would be great, but if not that is fine as well. My subscription will expire in a few days and i might not continue if i cant get this fixed, thanks.
Hi. When I'm watching a video, and the "Break" moment starts, the screen blocks, but my video is still playing, and when the break ends up, I loose the minute it was playing before.
It would be useful that the app make the video automatically stop when the break occurs.
In previous versions of FocusMe there was a feature called "Wait for user" - working with "Pomodoro", when a break ended, the system waited until a movement of the mouse to start another round.
This feature is not included in the new version. Bring it back, please!
Would be great to be able to save and load Plans.
Would make backups, sharing or the transfer of plans to different computers possible.
Recently upgrading FocusMe on one computer I've lost all my FocusMe Plans and the example FocusMe Plans too.
With save and load plans I would have been able to prepare a backup of the plans to load or be able to transfer the plans I have working on my other computer.
I have a universal block list, from which I created a plan on FocusMe desktop with a simple copy paste from the original text file. However tried doing the same on Android app it doesn't seem to accommodate copy pasting of bulk URL's yet.
I do think it's a handy feature especially if someone's starting off with the app, it'll get them going in no time.
I will note that I *was* happily reading Twitter, but FocusMe kicked me off, so now I am posting this idea and then getting back to work
I don't find the breaks very useful because they are too rigid. I have a flexible schedule and can't really predict when I will want or need a break. Also, if I'm working hard on something and focused, it is very counterproductive to take a break just because it's time!
I'd like to see an "unscheduled breaks" feature. For starts, perhaps an option for N breaks of length X. If I allow four 15-minute breaks in the workday, I can then go to FM, hit "take a break", and start the 15-minute counter. That would be so much more useful than trying to anticipate when I will need a 15 minute break during the day! Eventually, you might even want to allow for one long (lunch) break and a couple of short breaks. But any increased flexibility in the breaks would be very welcome.
Can I run multiple plans/timers at the same time? ie: I want to have a certain block plan and run the pomodoro plan on top of it to time my sessions pomodoro style. I have various plans to set up for my different jobs I do. (some web design, some graphics and some social media marketing (right in the lion's den, I know!) So I don't want to have to set up the different jobs to each have 25 minute pomodoro timers in case I need to switch a job in the middle of a pomodoro timer session. Am I making this way to complex?
Maybe I just stick to only doing 25 minute sessions on any job? I'm trying to keep to blocking social media unless I'm doing social media marketing and only limit those social media marketing times to small chunks of time.
I'm on the latest FocusMe update and sometimes FocusMe will stop blocking sites until I restart my PC or until the next hour. Apps and everything else continues to be blocked. I've given FocusMe and its helper programs unrestricted background access in Windows settings but it didn't help. Please help as I really need this program to always work.
