My apologies if I've simply missed this in the documentation somewhere, but I'm curious what happens under the "Network Block" feature in the "Block methods" selection. I've tested it and it seems to do the same thing as "Close tab" as far as I can see. I'm sure there's something else to it, it sounds interesting.
It's possible that the functionality of this feature may not be clearly documented, leading to uncertainty about its purpose. Exploring further or reaching out to the developers for clarification could provide insights into its intended use and any additional functionality it may offer.
Hello HocusFocus and Cefishing! Glad you guys reached out here - apologies though for the late response as we keep getting tons of comments/messages/questions.
About Network Block, it really means we're blocking websites/URLs on a Network level. Let's say facebook.com is not being blocked on Gmail, messages, etc. using the regular block methods such as Close the Tab, Open New Window, Show Block page, and more. With Network block which is a strengthened block method - any access to Facebook should be surely blocked by FocusMe.
Also, after setting up the Network Block, we need to wait for at least 5 to 10 mins or maybe restart your machine for it to kick in. And yes, it closes the tab as well... just in case for some sites Network Block is not working, we back it up with "Close the tab" block method.
Hope this answers your question!
Cheers,
Ryan

Usually websites that have network blocking settings will have certain details and policies. This is really worth learning a lot about it. Important questions and issues.

The "Network Block" feature in FocusMe is designed to restrict access to the internet, effectively blocking network traffic to certain applications or websites according to the plan's settings.

Hello Muffler,
Thanks for sharing this with us! Network Block is surely a step higher than the regular block methods we have.
Should you have other important FocusMe tips to share, kindly do so!

By restricting access at the network level, it ensures that even if users attempt to bypass restrictions through different means, the access remains blocked.
