I had a feature request for protecting plans/settings/etc. with passwords. In addition to the current options, something I've experienced in another tool is a random token that has a delayed time for the message. So basically, what you do is request to get a token which will be the random password to "unlock" something. This gets sent to the email for the account, or any other account you set.
With this, you can set a time frame of how long it takes to get the token. The default might be 1 hour or something.
Additionally, the other tool I've used lets you set an accountability partner that you trust (which must be approved by them), and instead of sending the token to you, it sends it to THEIR email. So instead of relying on having a person come over to your local machine to put the password in for you, this option would send THEM an email with the token and they would need to share it with you.
I hope you like the sound of this, and I think it would add a lot of value. Thanks!
This is a nice thing to have @megaroeny! I think this would be possible in mobile phones as well in today's technology.

Thanks!

Yup, agreed! I've used other apps for, let's say, time management purposes, and they do something similar too.
Encryption is useless if your password is bad, and most people's passwords are bad. Because an attacker must take a token and guess the password before the token is reported missing, a token helps to protect against this. In the end, the value of the data you're seeking to safeguard will determine if it's worthwhile. Don't squander your money if it's public knowledge or you won't be able to do major financial harm to someone. If the knowledge has the potential to do a reasonable amount of financial harm, it's generally worth the token cost.

Generic info only very tangentially related to some of the keywords in the post.
Anyone else feel this this screams bot?
That sounds like an interesting and potentially valuable feature for FocusMe. The ability to protect plans, settings, and other sensitive areas with passwords can provide an extra layer of security and control. Additionally, the concept of using a random token with a delayed time and the option to involve an accountability partner adds an innovative approach to password protection.
To suggest this feature to the FocusMe team and share your ideas, I recommend posting your request in the "Suggestions and Feedback" section of the FocusMe forum or contacting their support directly. They will have a better understanding of the feasibility and potential implementation of such a feature within the application.
By sharing your suggestion, you contribute to the ongoing improvement of the software and provide valuable input to the development team. Thank you for sharing your idea, and I hope it receives consideration for future updates.
